Carefully restored, this 3-bedroom, 2-bath home occupies the 2nd and 3rd floors of an owner-occupied Victorian on tree-lined Harvard Street in Somerville’s Spring Hill. It pairs period character with the comfort of a modern renovation: all-new windows and insulation, new central air, efficient gas heat, fresh paint, and hardwood floors throughout. An in-unit washer and dryer adds everyday convenience. The 2nd floor offers a sunny, south-facing living room with a carved decorative fireplace mantel and original tile, plus a separate dining room with a three-window bay, a window seat, beadboard wainscoting, and built-ins. The eat-in kitchen has stainless steel appliances from 2020, including a gas range, along with glass-front cabinets and a pantry pass-through. This floor also has the primary bedroom, with both a closet and a wardrobe, and a full bath with a subway-tile tub.Upstairs, two large bedrooms have vaulted ceilings, skylights, recessed lighting, built-in dressers and shelving, and a walk-in closet. The second full bath has a skylight, radiant floor heat, a walk-in shower, white subway tile, a penny tile floor, and a hammered nickel vessel sink on a marble-topped antique sewing-machine base. The rooms are separate and well defined, so the layout suits a home office, guests, hobbies, or extra room to spread out.The property also has shared access to a landscaped garden, and on-street parking is available with a Somerville resident permit. Harvard Street is a quiet one-way just off Summer Street, a short walk from Highland Kitchen, Josephine, and the Somerville Winter Farmers Market. Porter Square (Red Line and commuter rail), Union Square (Green Line), and Harvard’s campus are each under a 15-minute walk, and the Somerville Community Path leads to Davis Square and the Minuteman Bikeway. Tenant pays gas, electric, and internet/cable.
